Origin

Darjeeling, in Tibetan translating as 'Land of the Thunderbolt' and well known for the world famous Darjeeling Himalayan narrow gauge train terminating here, is a town that lies within the Indian state of West Bengal, lying 6,000ft above sea level. Darjeeling has a tiny annual production of only 10,000 tonnes and its tea is highly prized.
