Twinings Camomile Tea

Camomile Tea

This soothing blend is full of flavour and fragrance, derived from the Greek name, Khamaimelon, which translates to Kaimai (earth) and melon (apple). To create confusion, it is often spelt Chamomile, thanks to its Greek origins. Part of the Asteraceae family (of daisies and sunflowers), this tea is made of flowers rather than leaves and creates a delicate tea with a natural sedative effect. Enjoy a cup of pure camomile tea, or why not try a herbal infusion such as camomile and grapefruit or camomile and honey?

What is Camomile Tea?

A much sought-after natural relaxer, camomile tea is actually a herbal infusion, as it comes from the flower heads of the camomile plants and not the Camellia Sinensis plant like black tea.

Is Camomile Tea Caffeinated?

As with most of our herbal teas, camomile tea is naturally caffeine-free. It is also free from refined sugars and contains only four calories per cup, making it the perfect cup to enjoy any time of the day or night. If you want to reduce your caffeine intake, try swapping your afternoon cuppa for a calming cup of camomile.
