Refresh Your Wellbeing This Spring

We’re here with some small refreshes and subtle shifts for your wellbeing this spring. Think of them as gentle upgrades to your everyday rituals, or little lifts you can layer into your daily habits.

Whilst winter is a time to retreat, to wrap up warm, draw in, and move a little more slowly, spring is that glimmer we all wait for—a time to shake off the heavier layers and reemerge, gently but surely.

And, unlike January, with its loud promises and impossible expectations, spring brings a different pace and energy. Softer, more natural, light that lingers and a fresher kind of energy.

So, whilst nature unfolds, consider this your invitation to do the same. We’re here with some small refreshes and subtle shifts for your wellbeing. Think of them as gentle upgrades to your everyday rituals, or little lifts you can layer into your daily habits.

Here are five ways you can refresh your wellbeing this spring:

1. Spring clean your space (and your screen)

Spring cleaning isn’t just about your cupboards. Yes, there is a deep-rooted urge at this time of year to throw open all the windows, clear out your drawers and get organised, but that spring cleaning goes even further.

If you’ve noticed your screen time creeping up over those winter months, now is the right time to recalibrate. To make more space in your day.

Use small pockets of time to declutter your digital space, too. Try making space with a few small changes:

• Unfollow accounts that don’t make you feel good

• Turn off non-essential notifications

• Set a daily limit for social media apps

• Keep a book to hand and read when the urge to scroll kicks in

• Carve out a screen-free moment in your day

Pay attention to how you feel after time offline, even if it’s just ten minutes.

Reducing screen time, even slightly, can help shift your mindset more than you realise. Less comparison, less noise, and more time for you to enjoy those longer days and lighter evenings.

Spring cleaning your routine can feel just as refreshing as clearing out a cupboard. Sometimes, the most powerful reset is simply making more space.

2. Level up your snack choices

Spring is all about freshness, not restriction.

And whilst your energy levels are starting to rise with all that daylight and sunshine, it’s important to reach for things that help, not hinder.

Instead of reaching for something mindless mid-afternoon, try something considered. A couple of Medjool dates topped with a square of dark chocolate and a pinch of sea salt. Sweet, rich, satisfying.

Or make a batch of energy balls to keep in the fridge for the week—simple, nourishing, ready when you are.

Pair it with a green tea or fruit infusion for a moment that feels both uplifting and grounding. It’s not about perfection. It’s about intention.

3. Write a ‘this season’ list

This is not your typical to-do list. This is about intentions, not instructions.

A simple list for the season, to help you move through it with awareness so that you can get maximum joy from it.

Looking for inspiration to get you started?

• Enjoy a cuppa without your screen

• Eat lunch outside once a week

• Plant some seasonal blooms or fresh herbs on a windowsill or by the back door

• Discover a new class local to you - perhaps hot yoga, reformer pilates, or something creative you’ve never tried before

• Sign up for a challenge that motivates you - a charity walk, a 10k or even join a running club

• Try a new seasonal recipe filled with lots of spring vegetables

Or just make it a daily joy list, three small things to help lift the day. Spring makes noticing so much easier.

4. Add some spring movement

Movement doesn’t always look the same for everyone. For some, it might mean structured training plans and well-planned gym sessions. For others, it’s simply about weaving more movement into the rhythm of your day.

Spring brings with it a little extra energy, so work with it. Whether that’s building towards a goal or simply a chance to step outside, this season makes it easier to get moving.

It could be as simple as:

• A 15-minute walk before work (especially if you work from home)

• Taking your marathon or 10k training off the treadmill and out onto the pavement or parks

• A loop around the block after dinner while it’s still light out

• Pottering around the garden

• Rolling out your yoga mat, putting on your favourite music and just allowing yourself to move

Spending time in nature can have a powerful impact on how you feel, from the inside out, so any opportunity to get outdoors is a great way to boost your wellbeing.

Let the season do the heavy lifting, and just go with the pace it sets.

5. Create an evening reset ritual

Longer days mean more time for the things that matter. And whilst the evenings are starting to get lighter, it’s more important than ever to carve out a wind-down routine, rather than simply waiting for it to get dark.

Your evening routine doesn’t need to be packed full, just something that helps signal that it’s time to slow down.

A calm evening reset might look like this:

• Dim the lamps

• Set out what  you need for the morning

• Light a signature candle

• Make a caffeine-free drink

• Grab a book or a journal and just take a few moments before you settle in for the night

Evenings don’t need to be elaborate to feel restorative. Just small things done with intention.

Spring doesn’t demand a complete overhaul; it’s about reframing, resetting, and refreshing. A chance to add new energy to your day and begin building habits that carry you into summer feeling your best.

Start gently, stay consistent and let the season carry you. One small habit, one quiet moment at a time.

What small refresh will you start with?
